II. Lilac

Oh! Lonely, little Lilac
     in your green covered grove,
do you dare defy normality?
     or threaten your own society?
Blooming so effervescently amidst
                                        conformity.

Oh! Humble Lilac;
     with petals of pure.
Shouldn't you be scared? or
     the least bit insecure?
Brightly standing out from your home
                                      - obscure.

Little Lilac, little Lilac,
when will you see freedom?
Is it in that bound state, you see
                             freedom?
                  Maybe more?

Brave Lilac of brightest blossoms,
tell now, through modest petals,
your whispered desire.

Will you ever find home?

I shall take you home, little Lilac.
I shall give you home.
You shall be the centerpiece
forever seen - forever known.

Bangkok Getaway: Staying at the Siam City Hotel

As we all know, Bangkok is a busy city much like ours, and finding a peaceful getaway here might be hard. Then again, we have this hotel, amply named Siam City Hotel, located beside the Phaya Thai sky train station (BTS), this hotel is an ideal getaway from the husstle and bustle of the busy metropolis.

I actually stayed here myself and I did enjoy the welcoming atmosphere the hotel and its staff provided. Though located beside a busy intersection also fronting one of the many main roads of Bangkok, this hotel assured me the comfort, peace and serenity I needed during the trip.

Coffee and relaxation are few of the many things I look for when I travel and Siam City Hotel provided me with what I wanted. The area in the picture above was where I stayed to drink my afternoon coffee, relaxing on soft cushions and enjoying the peace the space provided. It isn't much of a view but in a busy world, a relaxing, enjoyable time would be much needed. In the evening, when the lights turn on, the atmosphere and the space changes into an even more soothing atmosphere; a place to mingle with others or just completely relax under the glow of the stars.

The picture above is the hallway to the forementioned little paradise. This path is another way to access the lobby. On the right, we see a bar that stations very attentive and friendly employees who understand the needs of the tourists. Beside the bar, there is an authentic, inexpensive, Italian restaurant that serves the best pasta!

I really did enjoy my stay here. I have a few more pictures to upload about the hotel (that is if I find them in my files) and I will continue writing my review and my blog about it. This is just a taste of what I find amazing about the Siam City Hotel.

All pictures here are taken by Me.

To you who may never read me.

Chance has brought two worlds together.
No similarities exist, just difference:
of polar opposites, of shared nothings
but a single Voice.

Between parting glances, We gaze
Lyric-less lyres, tuning chords.
In soulful blending We are lost.
A single Voice, too separate - two hearts.

Harmonious trembling - now dissipating,
bellowing silently through echoed beats.
No repose, the flitting voice - unaccompanied;
Together still blends.

Rhythm of Image.

I lack the sense of audio
To see the visual stereo.
Sights of tones beyond me goes,
like flashing lightning echoes.

Oh! They form within my head,
Lines and circles like pinheads;
Riding, still waves that do not bend,
Captain Clef, still, far ahead.

White lines on hair like afro,
Streaking in ending sorrow.
Oh Lord! The words you have said
Mean nothing in this dark head.

I close my eyes to wonder,
the sightless sound of others.

Searching Love (an original poem)

Love is an understatement for someone
                     who knows not what it is;
A congruence of letters that hold no meaning,
                     Void of any selfless feeling.
It’s best described as indescribable
and yet, as people, we are left to rubble
in the captured vastness of its hidden secrets.

Yet I am left to wonder how great this word can be
Only to speculate its inapplicability for someone like me.

For ages, man has searched for a rightful meaning,
to be only ‘likened’ by someone in fame.
“Love is like a river” as someone has said.
But in this modern age, can we
     consider love - dead?
True enough with thorough observation
‘love’ is most likely a practiced illusion.
A triggered gun, loaded with hormones -
    lustfully shrouding one’s perception.

It pays me not to find true love
as love is caused by hormonal imbalance.
A puff of smoke, a joint or two,
soon enough that love will bid adieu

And so I’m still in ever-wonder
How love can capture a true man’s thunder.
How love can bring down city walls
and cease the world, the living - All.
